Street Dance, Acro Gym & Ballet, Toddler lessons in Chelsea, Knightsbridge, Fulham, Clapham & Twickenham
There's a moment every parent knows — the one where your child walks into a room on their own for the very first time, and you hold your breath at the door.
Our toddler classes at Dakodas are designed for exactly that moment. For children aged 3 to 4, these are independent classes — no parents in the room — giving your child their very first taste of learning, listening, and belonging somewhere that's entirely their own.
Thirty minutes of ballet, street dance, or acro gymnastics. A qualified teacher who's done this a thousand times. And a room full of three and four year olds discovering that they can do things they didn't know they could do.

Three classes. One big first step.
We offer three toddler classes across our London studios, each running for 30 minutes and designed specifically for children aged 3–4:
Toddler Ballet
Classical ballet taught the right way for little learners — through movement, music, and imagination rather than rigid technique. Children develop coordination, listening skills, and body awareness while exploring simple ballet vocabulary in a warm, encouraging space.

Toddler Acro & Gymnastics
Cartwheels, balances, forward rolls and bridges — introduced safely, step by step, by fully qualified coaches. Toddler acro builds strength, spatial awareness and physical confidence in a way that feels more like play than exercise. An ideal first physical discipline for energetic three and four year olds.
Toddler Street Dance
High energy, big smiles, and movement set to music they actually recognise. Toddler street dance introduces rhythm, coordination and self-expression in the most fun possible way. Often the class where the quietest children surprise themselves the most.

What to expect at your first toddler class
Before the class: arrive 5 minutes early so your child has time to say hello to the teacher and feel settled before you leave. Comfortable clothing and bare feet or soft shoes are fine for a trial — no uniform needed on your first visit.
During the class: you're welcome to wait nearby but won't be in the room. Most children settle within the first few minutes. If your child finds the first session tricky, that's completely normal — our teachers are experienced at gently building independence, and it almost always clicks within a session or two.
After the class: your child will come out buzzing. Ask them to show you what they learned — you'll be surprised how much they remember.

Most children surprise themselves. Book a trial and find out what yours is capable of when they have the room to themselves.
FAQs
What age are toddler classes at Dakodas?
Our toddler classes are for children aged 3 to 4 years. If your child is approaching their 3rd birthday, get in touch and we can advise on the best time to start.
Do parents stay in the room?
No — these are fully independent classes. You're welcome to wait nearby, but the room is just for children and their teacher. This is intentional: it's your child's first experience of their own independent learning environment, and most children thrive with that space.
Which class should my toddler start with?
All three are designed for the same age group, so it really comes down to what your child gravitates toward. If they love music and moving, street dance is often a great first class. If they're physically adventurous, acro tends to be a hit. If you're drawn to something more structured with clear progression, ballet is a wonderful foundation. You're also very welcome to try more than one — many of our toddler students do multiple styles.
What should my child wear?
Comfortable clothing they can move in. For ballet, a leotard and ballet shoes are ideal but not required for a trial class. For acro and street dance, leggings or joggers and a fitted top work well. Bare feet are fine for a first visit.
How long are the classes?
Each toddler class runs for 30 minutes — the right length for a 3–4 year old's concentration span.
Where do toddler classes run?
Across five London studios: Chelsea (Marlborough Primary School and National Army Museum), Knightsbridge (More House School), Clapham (London Park School) and Twickenham (Radnor House School).
How do I book a trial class?
