At Dakodas, we are proud to support young people completing the volunteering section of their Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
Our academy provides a welcoming and supportive environment where participants can gain valuable experience working with children, develop leadership skills, build confidence and make a meaningful contribution to our community.
Whether you are working towards your Bronze, Silver or Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Award, we can provide structured volunteering opportunities across a range of classes and events.
What You Might Be Involved In
Volunteers may have the opportunity to:
• Assist teachers during children's dance and performing arts classes
• Support younger learners during activities and exercises
• Help welcome families and students to classes
• Assist with class organisation and preparation
• Support holiday camps and special events
• Help with performances, rehearsals and backstage duties
• Develop leadership, communication and teamwork skills
All volunteering opportunities are age-appropriate and supervised by experienced members of the Dakodas team.

Who Can Apply?
We welcome applications from young people completing:
• Bronze Duke of Edinburgh's Award
• Silver Duke of Edinburgh's Award
• Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Award
Applicants should be enthusiastic, reliable, responsible and enjoy working with children.
Previous dance or performing arts experience is helpful but is not always essential depending on the volunteering role.
Verification and Support
Dakodas can:
• Confirm volunteering hours
• Complete volunteer reports where required
• Provide references relating to volunteering undertaken with us
• Support participants throughout their volunteering journey
