Dakodas offers outstanding dance and performing arts training for children at Marlborough Primary School in Chelsea, SW3.

Our Chelsea programme brings together a wide range of disciplines, including Classical RAD Ballet, Acro & Gymnastics, Street Dance, Breakdance, Tap & Jazz and early years dance, giving children the opportunity to discover what they love while developing strong technique, creativity and confidence.

Whether a child is taking their very first class, developing within one particular discipline or training across several styles, our aim is to provide an education in dance and performing arts that can grow with them.

Our Acro, Gymnastics & Tricks classes combine strength, flexibility, coordination and body control with the creativity and performance quality of dance.

Children work through safe, structured progressions including balances, rolls, handstands, bridges, tumbling and increasingly challenging skills as they develop.

Classes are designed to build physical ability alongside patience, perseverance and confidence. Students are encouraged to progress at an appropriate pace, developing secure foundations before moving on to more advanced skills.

Our Pre-Primary, Primary and Grade 1 Ballet classes in Chelsea provide a clear and supportive pathway in classical ballet through the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) framework.

Younger dancers develop strong foundations through imaginative movement, music and carefully structured exercises, building posture, balance, coordination and confidence in a warm and encouraging environment.

As students progress into Grade 1 Ballet, they begin to refine their technique, musicality, body awareness and artistry while developing greater control and understanding of classical ballet.

At Dakodas Chelsea, we combine high technical standards with a positive, child-centred approach, helping every dancer progress confidently, enjoy their training and build strong foundations for future RAD grades.

Our Chelsea Street Dance classes give children the opportunity to develop rhythm, groove, musicality, coordination and performance confidence through energetic, current choreography.

Students are encouraged to develop both strong foundations and their own personality as performers, building confidence, focus and versatility as they progress.

For children who love breaking, our Breakdance training develops foundational skills including toprock, footwork, freezes and controlled floor work through safe and progressive teaching.

More experienced dancers can also work towards advanced Street Dance training and team opportunities where appropriate.

Tap & Jazz gives children the opportunity to develop musicality, rhythm, coordination, technique and performance style through two complementary disciplines.

Tap develops precision and rhythmic awareness, while Jazz encourages dynamic movement, expression, flexibility and confident performance.

Together, they provide an exciting and versatile training experience and are an excellent option for children who enjoy energetic, musical classes.
