Private Latin and ballroom dance lessons in London
Learn Latin and ballroom dance with a private teacher and a lesson designed around your chosen music, experience and goals. Sessions can be energetic and playful for children, confidence-building for adults, or tailored for couples and families who want to enjoy dancing together.
Who this private class is for
Private tuition is ideal for complete beginners, experienced dancers, adults who cannot attend a regular group class, visitors looking for a special London activity, or anyone preparing for a wedding, celebration or performance. The content can be adapted for one or two people, with larger family or social groups available by arrangement.
What your lesson can include
- Latin and ballroom foundations, posture and partner connection
- Rhythm, timing, coordination and musicality
- Popular styles such as cha-cha, jive, salsa, rumba or waltz
- Simple social-dance skills for beginners
- Wedding or special-occasion choreography
- Confidence and presentation on the dance floor
This is your lesson, so the teacher can concentrate on the styles you most want to learn. You may work slowly through the foundations, learn a complete routine, or use the session to refine technique and performance quality.
Where private lessons can take place
Choose a Dakodas studio in Knightsbridge, a suitable home, hotel or private venue in London. We regularly arrange lessons for local families, international visitors and bookings made through hotel concierges. Private sessions are generally for one or two participants. Larger groups can be arranged, although the price may increase.
How booking works
- Choose and pay for a 60, 90 or 120-minute private session online.
- We contact you to ask for your preferred day, time, location and goals.
- We match you with a suitable specialist teacher and confirm the final arrangement.
Because the lesson is individually arranged, the exact time is subject to teacher and venue availability. A small amount of flexibility may be needed, but our team will work with you to find the best possible option.

Trial Class Dates
Trial classes are booked for the next available date. If you would prefer a different date, you can specify this directly on the booking page.
What happens after a trial class?
After your trial class, we will email you to see how it went. You can then either enrol for the remainder of the term on a pro-rata basis, or we can issue an invoice for you.
Private Classes
Private sessions are £135 and this fee includes the teacher, studio hire, and all administrative support. We operate a 72-hour cancellation policy. If you need to move or cancel your session, please email us at least 72 hours before the booking and we will happily refund or reschedule. If we do not hear from you within the 72-hour window, the session becomes payable in full, as we are required to cover the teacher and studio costs.
