Refund policy
Refunds and cancellations policy
When you enrol in a class or camp of Dakodas, you are reserving a place within a limited capacity programme. For this reason, fees are generally non refundable except where required by law or as outlined below.
Trial classes
We offer one paid trial class per student per class.
Trial fees are non refundable once the trial has taken place.
Termly classes
Termly classes are sold as fixed programmes with defined start and end dates. Payment secures your child’s place for the full term.
We do not offer refunds, credits, or transfers for:
• missed classes due to illness, holidays, or personal commitments
• timetable changes made by families
• withdrawal during the term
This applies whether fees are paid in full or via a monthly payment plan.
If a student joins mid term, fees are charged on a pro rata basis for the remaining weeks of that term.
Serious medical circumstances
In cases of serious injury or medical circumstances that prevent participation for an extended period, we may, at our discretion, offer a credit for the unused portion of the term to be applied to a future term.
Supporting evidence such as a doctor or healthcare professional note will be requested.
Short term illness or minor injuries are not eligible for credit or refund.
If Dakodas needs to cancel a class
While we make every effort to ensure classes run as scheduled, if we ever need to cancel a class we will offer an appropriate make up class, credit, or refund for the affected session.
Workshops and holiday programmes
Places on workshops, intensives, and holiday programmes are non refundable once booked.
If you need to cancel, we may allow a transfer to another date or participant if requested at least one month before the start date and if we are able to fill the place.
If we cancel a class or holiday programme, a full refund will be provided.
Registration and membership fees
Annual registration or membership fees are non refundable.
Distance and online bookings
Where bookings are made online or via distance methods, consumer cancellation rights will apply where required by law.
However, as our classes are leisure services provided for specific dates and periods, cancellation rights may be limited once the programme has begun or where a place has been reserved within a defined term.
If cancellation is requested within any applicable legal cancellation period and before the programme has started, any refund may be adjusted to reflect administrative costs or sessions already delivered.
Admin fee
We reserve the right to apply a reasonable administration fee to discretionary refunds where appropriate. This will not apply where we are at fault.
Our approach
We aim to be fair and understanding while maintaining clear and consistent policies that allow us to plan classes responsibly and provide a high quality experience for all students.

14 Day Cooling Off Period
If your contract with the School was formed entirely by means of distance communication (i.e. by post or electronic communication) without a face to face meeting with a member of the School staff between offer and acceptance, you have the right to cancel the contract within 14 days. The 14 day cancellation period will commence on the day following our receipt of your booking. To meet the cancellation deadline, you must send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.
PRIVATE CLASS CANCELLATIONS – 72 HOURS
To maintain a high standard of teaching and ensure smooth
coordination, all cancellations or amendments to private sessions must
be made directly with Dakodas office team
at info@dakodasdanceacademy.com. Cancellations made through your teacher
are not valid, as teachers do not have access to studio bookings or
scheduling systems.
Once a lesson is confirmed, both studio space
and teacher time are reserved exclusively for you. These bookings often
carry non-refundable costs, and late changes can prevent us from
reallocating the session.
We therefore kindly ask you to follow the policy below:
Cancellation Policy:
More than 72 hours’ notice:
A 50% refund or credit will be issued. This helps cover the studio
booking cost, which is often non-refundable, while supporting teacher
preparation time.
Less than 72 hours’ notice: The session is non-refundable and will be charged in full.
Missed sessions or same-day cancellations: No refund or credit can be offered.
We
believe this policy supports a respectful and fair relationship for all
parties involved, our clients, our teachers, and our administrative
team, while maintaining the exceptional quality of service that defines
Dakodas.
