Prepare for a LAMDA examination with individual coaching tailored to the student's grade, discipline and chosen pieces. Dakodas private LAMDA lessons help learners understand the requirements, refine their performance and enter the exam feeling organised and confident.

Who this private class is for

These sessions are suitable for children, teenagers and adults preparing Acting, Verse and Prose, Public Speaking, Musical Theatre or another relevant LAMDA pathway. They can support a first-time candidate, a student working towards a higher grade, or someone who needs concentrated help before an examination.

Please send us the grade, discipline, exam date and current pieces after booking. This helps us match the student with an appropriate teacher and use the lesson time effectively. The session may focus on one urgent area or provide a structured review of the complete examination programme.

Where private lessons can take place

Choose a Dakodas studio in Knightsbridge, a suitable home, hotel or private venue in London. We regularly arrange lessons for local families, international visitors and bookings made through hotel concierges. Private sessions are generally for one or two participants. Larger groups can be arranged, although the price may increase.

How booking works

  1. Choose and pay for a 60, 90 or 120-minute private session online.
  2. We contact you to ask for your preferred day, time, location and goals.
  3. We match you with a suitable specialist teacher and confirm the final arrangement.

Because the lesson is individually arranged, the exact time is subject to teacher and venue availability. A small amount of flexibility may be needed, but our team will work with you to find the best possible option.

    Trial Class Dates

    Trial classes are booked for the next available date. If you would prefer a different date, you can specify this directly on the booking page.

    What happens after a trial class?

    After your trial class, we will email you to see how it went. You can then either enrol for the remainder of the term on a pro-rata basis, or we can issue an invoice for you.

    Private Classes

    Private sessions are £135 and this fee includes the teacher, studio hire, and all administrative support. We operate a 72-hour cancellation policy. If you need to move or cancel your session, please email us at least 72 hours before the booking and we will happily refund or reschedule. If we do not hear from you within the 72-hour window, the session becomes payable in full, as we are required to cover the teacher and studio costs.
