Private ballet lessons in London for children and adults
Enjoy focused, one-to-one classical ballet coaching built entirely around the dancer. Dakodas private ballet lessons support complete beginners, recreational dancers and experienced students working towards stronger technique, examinations, auditions or pointe work.
Who this private class is for
These sessions are suitable from the earliest ballet stages through to adults and advanced dancers. They are particularly helpful for a child who feels nervous about joining a group, needs to catch up before entering a class, is preparing for a scholarship or stage-school audition, or is visiting London when regular classes are not running. Adults are equally welcome, whether beginning ballet for the first time or returning after a break.
What your lesson can include
- Classical ballet technique, posture, alignment and musicality
- Age-appropriate barre and centre work
- RAD syllabus support or focused work on particular steps
- Audition, examination and performance preparation
- Pointe preparation and pointe work for dancers who are ready
- Confidence, artistry and individual corrections
Your teacher will adapt the pace and content to the dancer's age, experience and goals. The session can focus on one specific challenge or provide a complete private ballet class, giving the student time to ask questions and receive detailed personal feedback.
Where private lessons can take place
Choose a Dakodas studio in Knightsbridge, a suitable home, hotel or private venue in London. We regularly arrange lessons for local families, international visitors and bookings made through hotel concierges. Private sessions are generally for one or two participants. Larger groups can be arranged, although the price may increase.
How booking works
- Choose and pay for a 60, 90 or 120-minute private session online.
- We contact you to ask for your preferred day, time, location and goals.
- We match you with a suitable specialist teacher and confirm the final arrangement.
Because the lesson is individually arranged, the exact time is subject to teacher and venue availability. A small amount of flexibility may be needed, but our team will work with you to find the best possible option.

Trial Class Dates
Trial classes are booked for the next available date. If you would prefer a different date, you can specify this directly on the booking page.
What happens after a trial class?
After your trial class, we will email you to see how it went. You can then either enrol for the remainder of the term on a pro-rata basis, or we can issue an invoice for you.
Private Classes
Private sessions are £135 and this fee includes the teacher, studio hire, and all administrative support. We operate a 72-hour cancellation policy. If you need to move or cancel your session, please email us at least 72 hours before the booking and we will happily refund or reschedule. If we do not hear from you within the 72-hour window, the session becomes payable in full, as we are required to cover the teacher and studio costs.
