Autumn Term Welcome
We are absolutely thrilled that Dakodas will be delivering gymnastics classes at Newton Prep from September!
Our team cannot wait to meet the children and begin an exciting term of gymnastics together. Classes will give pupils the opportunity to develop their strength, flexibility, coordination and gymnastics technique within a positive, encouraging environment.
Whether your child already loves gymnastics or is joining a class for the very first time, we want every pupil to feel welcome, confident and excited to take part.
We hope the children are as excited as we are! Before their first class, please take a few moments to read the important information below so that everyone arrives ready to move, learn and have fun.
What to bring
Please ensure your child brings:
- A named full water bottle
- A leotard (+ optional shorts) or suitable stretchy fitted clothing
- Hair ideally in a bun - at a minimum long hair tied securely away from the face

Why does the correct clothing matter?

- Ensure children get the most from every class
Thank you for helping us keep our gymnastics classes safe, comfortable and enjoyable for every child.

A Happy and Safe Class
To help every child enjoy their gymnastics experience:
- Children should listen carefully to their teacher and follow safety instructions.
- Apparatus should only be used when invited by the teacher.
- Children should show kindness and encouragement to their classmates.
- Please let us know about any injuries, medical conditions or additional needs that may affect your child’s participation.
Our classes celebrate effort, progress and perseverance. Children will be encouraged to challenge themselves safely, support one another and feel proud of every new skill they achieve.
